Where is the Warehouse?

We are located in Grand Rapids at 1625 Leonard St. NE - Door 12 (in the back of the Grand Rapids Technical High School). Enter from Ball Ave driveway. Hours are Thursdays 1-4pm. Appointments for other hours can be made by contacting Betsey on her pager at 616.249.5673 or cell phone 616.901.7486. Learning from Scratch hours are same as GRPS School Calendar for access to building. Groups can schedule for evening presentations and shopping Monday-Friday 6:30-8pm. We are currently closed on weekends.

What are these products used for?

Local community projects have benefited from the efforts of Learning from Scratch. Here are just a few:

• Something Fishy
Local vendors, artists, and children all worked together to bring home the catch of the day to beautify and unify the communities of Grand Rapids.

• Blocks for Buddies
Program involving East Grand Rapids students to give under privileged children access to various manufacturer products and toys at no cost.

• Picton Castle
A 200 foot sailboat responsible in the aiding of distributing Learning from Scratch materials to such far off locations as the Solomon Islands and Cape Town.
